Joanna Lohman – A native of Silver Spring, Maryland, Joanna Lohman is a trailblazer. As a football player, Lohman was a two-year captain at Pennsylvania State University and the first four-time First Team All-Big Ten selection in the school’s history. Lohman’s 29-game career with the US Women’s National Team included two years as captain of the U23 squad. Lohman also has 7 caps for the Full US National Team, making her debut in 2003-2004 in the Algarve Cup against Italy. Being a top scorer for the Philadelphia Independence (WPS) was the next major step in her football career. Lohman has a savvy business mind to go with her football successes, earning a 3.98 GPA while obtaining her business degree, a feat that made her a four time Academic All-American.
She is the Vice President of Tenant Consulting, a commercial real estate firm in Washington, DC. She is also an accomplished blogger and featured radio personality. Now 29, Lohman has travelled to over twenty countries in search of the best training environments and experiences. She lives by the Steve Prefontaine quote;

She has a passion for nourishing talent wherever it is found, believing it should not be limited by gender politics or birthplace. Lohman’s experiences have instilled a desire to pour her efforts into the football programs and motivational services of JoLi Academy.

Lianne Sanderson Lianne Sanderson hails from Lewisham, England. It wasn’t popular for young girls to wear football kits when Sanderson began playing at the tender age of six, but that didn’t deter her. She was nine when she joined Arsenal LFC, beginning an eleven year stint with the club. By eighteen, she was voted Player of the Match in the 2006 FA Women’s Cup Final. In the 2006-2007 season she was Arsenal’s top scorer, notching forty-eight goals in forty-one appearances. She capped off her season with a trip to the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup. In the 2007-2008 season she amassed fifty-two goals in thirty-one appearances with the Arsenal Ladies, exceeding her previous year’s results. She spent the next two seasons with Chelsea LFC and was their Player of the Year in 2010. Currently playing professionally for RCD Espanyol, Sanderson continues to excel. She played for England in the 2007 World Cup in China, reaching the semi-final round. She also competed with the England Women’s National Team in the European Championships in 2009, reaching the final game. Sanderson played for England at all levels from U15, U17, U19, U21, and the Senior level.
Sanderson’s accomplishments are hard to miss, and in 2005 Nike came calling, featuring her in ad campaigns alongside Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams.
Sanderson believes that outside influences can take a good player and make her great. Her strong desire to pay it forward led Sanderson to operate a youth academy from 2005 to 2009. She focused her energies on working with children to strengthen their athletic prowess and character. Sanderson seeks to bring that same focus to players the world over with JoLi Academy.
